A presentation was held at Yorkshire Trust on 19th December to award the participation to the students and schools who took part in a competition to design a festive card, which is a reflection of Christmas, Eid & New Year.
.
Mr. Suleman, CEO of Yorkshire Trust welcomed the winners and the guests; explained the purpose of the Competition. Yorkshire Trust with stakeholders and partners want to promote and encourage right of all religious to celebrate their religious festivals and values, and by sharing & understanding each other's values we can create a tolerance society. The active partner were sponsor with the Yorkshire Trust, Eastwood and Springwell Pathfinder, East Dene School, St Ann's School & Clifton School & our spiritual Support from St James Church, Church Together, Mosques and local Communities.
The most important participation is from local schools and young peoples services. Mr. Sagir Alam OBE of Disability Rigts Commission praised the tremendous work of young people and he said it was very difficult to pick a winner from so many brilliant entries. The panel were Chris Edward from Eastwood and Springwell Pathfinder, Rev Headly Richardson from St James Church, Mr Suleman from Yorkshire Trust and Sagir Alam.
