IT looks sadly as if the terror threat facing our country will be with us for some time to come, but let us be absolutely clear about this: those who engage in such murderous actions and those that provide support for them are the enemies of all our citizens, Muslims and non-Muslims, and they work against our shared values in the UK.
Local communities in the Yorkshire and the Humber region can help defeat these criminals by remaining calm and vigilant, and any person who has any information should, of course, contact the police immediately.
It is vital that all members of the public, of all faiths and of none, stand in solidarity against these attacks upon the British public.
We need to work together irrespective of race, colour or religions to maintain public peace and security.
The challenges facing us as a nation require us to work together for the benefit of all.
